California County Planning Directors Association 2019 Annual Meeting

Our 2019 annual meeting will be February 27 to March 1 in Sacramento at the Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown - Arena. This year we are expanding our time together - we will start at 2 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon and will wrap up by 2 p.m. on Friday. This will give us more time for deep dives and expanded information sharing.

Your executive committee is busy planning an excellent agenda that is sure to inspire thought and stimulate lots of discussion. Likely topics this year will include planning for wildland fire resiliency and recovery, climate action plans and climate adaptation, an expanded roundtable and information sharing, attracting and retaining young planners, updates from CSAC, OPR, HCD and the Bureau of Cannabis Control, Abbott & Kinderman's land use law update and the hosted reception after our sessions on Thursday.

There are just a couple tickets left for the CCPDA group to see the Sacramento Kings game (vs. Milwaukee Bucks) on Wednesday February 27. Contact Brian Peters (bpeters@alpinecountyca.gov) if you are interested.

Registration: Go to the register link above and register either as an individual or ogranization. If you have more than 1 person from your county you can enter multiple registrations by selecting the organization link. For all registrations you have the option to pay by credit or debit card, mail a check in advance or bring a check to the meeting. We are not set up to take credit card payments at the meeting. We prefer credit or debit card payment in advance - it greatly reduces the paperwork for your Secretary-Treasurer. You will receive an automatic email verification of your registration.

Annual Dues Payment: Go to the register link above to make your annual dues payment. You can do this at the same time that you register for the meeting, or just pay your dues if you are not able to come to the meeting.

Payment Confirmation and Ticket: After completing your on line registration and dues payment you will receive a confirmation and ticket. You do not need to bring the ticket to the meeting.

Hotel Information: The hotel room block at the Holiday Inn is sold out. We might be able to get a few more rooms added to the block. You might also want to look for other hotels in the vicinity. Block room rate is $134/night; $18/day for self-parking, $26/day valet. Make your reservation by Tuesday January 29, 2019 to guarantee this rate.
